I just spent three days and $57 (for a handbook from http://www.easy-email.net/) on learning migrating from POP mail servers to Gmail IMAP. Now I am able to use Thunderbird to manage all of my emails through one gmail account, particularly on different operating systems. Every mail received, edited, and sent is synchronized simultaneously. That feels good.
